Make sure to unplug all electric appliances, like hair dryers and razors, in the bathroom. Don’t forget to store them in a safe place well out of kids' reach.
Squeaky Clean and Dry
Have your kids dry off completely after bathing—after all, wet surfaces are slippery. And don't forget a towel to dry their feet!
Give With Care
Administer medication with a bright light on to make sure you have the dosage correct. And never refer to medication as "candy."
Crystal Clear Communication
Talk to kids about the dangers of poisonous items, like over-the-counter drugs and prescription medicines.
Cleaning products and other poisons can be easily confused with sports drinks, juices or even breath mints. Always keep poisons in their original containers, out of reach and far away from look-a-like products.
Prep for Potential Poisonings
Accidental poisonings are very real and very scary. If your child inhales something they shouldn’t, get them to fresh air immediately. If they swallow a poisonous substance, don’t give your child anything to eat or drink until you speak with a Poison Center specialist. Download the Poison Safety PDF here.
